Welcome to the first of four sessions in the 3-hour and 15-minute online training for trauma-informed emergency drills in schools "Classroom Coaching" approach from Sammy & Friends! This session will last one hour and provides foundational knowledge in trauma-informed practices (TIPs) important for sustainable implementation of psychologically safe and developmentally appropriate emergency drills in K-12 schools.
After purchasing your training seat, you received an email with an electronic copy of the training manual along with a questions and answer packet. If you followed the instructions on providing your shipping address, you also received your Sammy the Sasquatch stuffed animal and softcover copy each of "Sammy the Sasquatch: Welcome to Crittertopia" and "Sammy the Sasquatch: Adventures in Safety" in English or Spanish.
Ensure you have your copy of the training manual on hand so you can pause the video when prompted to engage in self-reflection and worksheet activities. Let's get started!
